FAQ
Agent Orange: frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions people search most about the Agent Orange strain, each with its sources.
Is Agent Orange indica or sativa?
A hybrid. Leafly rates it mostly energizing, the TGA-era description and Philosopher Seeds say 50/50, AllBud says 75% sativa, and MzJill describes “indica effects” for her F2 and S1 seed versions.1,2,3,4,5
What strain is Agent Orange?
An orange-flavored hybrid of Orange Velvet and Jack the Ripper bred by MzJill at TGA Genetics, the US seed company she co-founded in 2003; Leafly also lists it as Agent O.1,5,6
What are Agent Orange’s parents?
Orange Velvet × Jack the Ripper. Written one generation back, as AllBud and Wikileaf do, that is Orange Skunk × Jack’s Cleaner × Space Queen.1,4,5,7,8
How much THC is in Agent Orange?
The median is 12.80% across 140 state lab tests, with the middle half between 11.05% and 14.30%; 118 of the tests are Maryland flower, where labs reported low values for this strain. Leafly lists 17%, Weedmaps 16–23% and AllBud 25%.1,4,9,10
Does Agent Orange have CBD?
Very little: 57 of the 129 tests that reported CBD found none; 1 of 129 tests that reported CBD reached 1%.9
What terpenes are in Agent Orange?
Our lab data cannot say: none of the 140 tests reports individual terpene values; 109 Maryland tests report only a total, with a median of 1.12% by weight. Leafly’s own lab panel ranks myrcene first, then terpinolene and caryophyllene, from other samples.1,9
What does Agent Orange taste and smell like?
Orange and citrus, by a wide margin on Leafly and Weedmaps, with sweet, sour-lemon and creamy “Dreamsicle” notes from the breeder; a 2017 clone catalogue added fuel and diesel.1,5,6,10,11
What are Agent Orange’s effects?
By user reports and marketing copy: uplifted, happy and focused on Leafly, which rates it mostly energizing; Weedmaps describes an upbeat, motivating high that can settle into relaxation; MzJill describes heavier effects for her seed versions. These are self-reports, not clinical findings.1,5,10
Why is the strain called Agent Orange?
Its breeder, MzJill, says she named it in honor of her father, a Green Beret exposed to the herbicide in Vietnam, and to raise awareness of those affected; proceeds from the strain support veterans’ causes, she says.6,12
Who created Agent Orange?
MzJill, at TGA Genetics, the company she co-founded with Subcool in 2003. After their February 2019 mediation the rights to Agent Orange went to her, and she now sells it through MzJill Genetics.6,13,14
How long does Agent Orange take to flower?
About 55–65 days for the seed versions; Leafly gives 55 days and a 2017 clone catalogue 8–9 weeks.1,2,3,10,11
Is Agent Orange the same as Jilly Bean?
No, but they are half-siblings: Leafly lists Jilly Bean as Orange Velvet × Space Queen and Agent Orange as Orange Velvet × Jack the Ripper, and Jack the Ripper is itself a Space Queen cross.1,8,15
Where can I buy Agent Orange?
Only from licensed stores where cannabis is legal for you. On Oct 3, 2026, Weedmaps showed Agent Orange flower at 85 store listings in 9 of 27 US markets, 59 of them near Los Angeles.16
